Using Shortcuts

Many of the Assessment Tool's functions can be accessed by using shortcut keys. If you are using a recent browser, you should be able to use the following key commands to perform these functions.

In the Administration area

Command

Shortcut key

Focus Shortcuts

Tip: These commands shift focus. First use the focus shortcut, then use tab to select individual items within that area.

Alt+1

Shift focus to the left column.

Alt+2

Shift focus to the right column.

Alt+4

Shift focus to the Main Navigation Tabs.

Alt+3

Shift focus to the Form Action Bar (Save/Cancel on forms).

Alt+5

Shift focus to Help.

Alt+6

Shift focus to Logout.

Alt+7

Shift focus to the Learner Assessment Report Table (in the Learner Assessment Report).

Alt+9

Shift focus to the Accessibility link.

When taking an Assessment

Shift focus to the answer area.

Shift focus to the Action Bar (Submit/Go to/Back buttons)

Shift focus to the Form Action Bar (Save/Cancel on forms).

Shift focus to Go to Question link,

Shift focus to the Accessibility link.

Submit.

Open the Go to Question overlay.

Go back to the previous question in this Unit (where possible).
