Activating and Retiring an AssessmentAn Assessment may have one of three Assessment Statuses at any time after creation. Note: Assessments can be Activated, Deactivated and Retired in bulk from the Bulk Change Assessment Status panel in the side menu of the Assessments tab. Non-ActiveImmediately after creation, Adaptive, Non-Adaptive and Snapshot Reading, Numeracy and Vocabulary Assessments have a status of Non Active. This means that they can be seen and worked with by authorised Educators and Administrators, but that Learners who have been assigned to these Assessments cannot begin taking them. It is also possible to manually retire an Assessment, although the only benefit of this is to have it not show on the Educator's Home tab. The reason for this functionality is that occasionally, for system wide administrative purposes, it may be necessary for an administrator to manually retire an Assessment so that there is no chance that any Learners will take it in the future.
